Clare Comfort delivers therapeutic Time Traveller memory sessions for residents living with dementia. Music, scent, nostalgia, and personalised family voices — all in one 60 minute experience your residents will talk about for days.
"I've been an activities coordinator for eleven years. I've never seen residents respond like that."

What happens in the room
We don't entertain residents. We unlock them. Every session is a carefully designed therapeutic experience that meets people where their memory still lives — in music, in smell, in the feel of familiar things.
We call it The Edible Time Machine. We call ourselves Time Travellers. And yes — we bring sweets from 1962.
Why it actually works
NICE recommends reminiscence therapy for people living with dementia. We deliver it with a level of personalisation that hasn't been possible before — and the science is on our side.
Musical memory is stored in a different part of the brain to episodic memory. Residents who can't remember breakfast can sing every word of a 1955 song. We use this deliberately.
The olfactory system connects directly to emotional memory. One smell can do more in ten seconds than twenty minutes of conversation. Every themed box has a signature scent.
Residents who no longer recognise family members during visits still respond emotionally to a familiar voice. Our comfort objects deliver that voice at 3am when nobody else can be there.
What's included
Start with a free Lite pilot — no technology, no commitment, just a brilliant session and an honest conversation afterwards. We'll take it from there.
Music, themed memory boxes, reminiscence activities, and the edible time machine. Everything you need for an extraordinary 60 minutes — without the technology layer.
Everything in Lite, plus personalised family voice messages delivered through comfort objects residents keep in their rooms. Families record remotely. Messages update anytime.
A guaranteed monthly session, ongoing comfort object management, a new themed box each month, and a growing body of CQC evidence that makes your next inspection easier. One invoice. No faff.
Who you're getting
I didn't set out to build a care home activities business. I set out to solve a problem that kept me up at night — the people we love most, feeling most alone, when we can't be there.
Clare Bear started as a comfort object for children separated from parents. Then I realised the same technology could help a grandmother with dementia hear her daughter's voice at 3am. Same patent. Same platform. Same mission.
Nobody should feel unloved just because the person who loves them isn't in the room.
Every session arrives in the same battered leather case. Residents ask about it before I've said a word.
A vintage tin of retro sweets. Someone puts a pear drop in their mouth and they're back in 1958 before I've even sat down.
Press one button. Hear the voice of someone you love. That's it. That's the whole product.
In your inbox before 6pm. Every time. No exceptions. Because your CQC inspector doesn't wait and neither should you.
Free pilot session
We're offering free Clare Comfort Lite pilot sessions to a small number of care homes in Bedfordshire. No cost. No commitment. Just a genuinely extraordinary session and an honest conversation about what comes next.
